    Default Literature

    hi everyone,

I have a small and easy request:

Can you guys list me up all books written by Tolkien about the world of Middle earth?

Off course critics about books are welcome. If some are judged uninterresting or bad or whatever (I doubt it) or in the contrary exelent and so forth please say so

Thank you very much for your help.

    By J.R.R Tolkien:
-Lord of the Rings trilogy obviously
    -the Hobbit
    -Adventures of Tom Bombadil

    Completed by Christoper Tolkien:
    -Silmarillion(best book imo)
    -Unfinished Tales
-History of Middle-Earth, a serie of books about Tolkiens world.

I didn't read all the Histories of Middle-Earth nor Adventures of Tom Bombadil. The books I read where fantastic.

Adventures of Tom Bombadil? I've never even heard of that. Now I have to look for it the next time I go to a library/ book store.

Also, The Lost Tales aren't in the list, unless they are part of the HoME. I'm not sure what is part and what isn't.

I should buy HoME but it's very expensive and it hasn't been published to finnish so I would have to read it as english.

i have seen all the books published in Greek (about 12.000.000 population), i don't know about HoME though

i guess i should purchase a lexicon for any possibility
Glorfindel, the Lord of the House of the Golden Flower

...Glorfindel was tall and straight, his hair was of shining gold, his face fair and young and fearless and full of joy, his eyes were bright and keen, and his voice like music, on his brow sat wisdom, and in his hand was strength...

... the Elven-wise, lords of the Eldar from beyond the furthest seas. They do not fear the Ringwraiths, for those who have dwelt in the Blessed Realm live at once in both worlds, and against both the Seen and the Unseen they have great power...

The Lost Tales is part of the History of Middle-Earth. The list of books from HoME is founded here
