Default Any way to mod out adoptions?

I get an offer every turn and I think that these offers are somehow responsible for the fact that I have 16 regions as HRE, 5 generals and two eligible women that have yet to receive a marriage offer. I've also gone a good 20 twenty turns without a marriage offer for a male family member either

Oh how I miss previous campaigns where dirty 50 year old men would be pounding on the gates to marry my 14 year old princesses!

Yeah, it would be nice if we could have more marriage offers rather then more adoption offers...

If you have a lot more regions than generals (as is your case) you will get adoption offers. It is the game's way of getting 'governors'.

If you dis-like the vanilla adoption method, the next version of my mod 'Text Overhaul' for Stainless Steel 6.1 will address the events and rather then out-mode them or delete them, it will simply rename and reword them as to be more realistic, historically accurate, and most of all immersive rather than intrusive.

This change will coincide with the countless other text changes in the previous versions of 'Text Overhaul' that will re-enforce the above. To name another, the Family Tree is 'explained,' for what it actually was intended to represent in the game, a Tree of Influentials rather than the Fantasy of a huge, immortal Dynasty. A Dynasty that despite the possibility and usually the likelihood of it losing all face of it's origins, it would never be recognized as such in-game. That is of-course, until Text Overhaul.

The real question is whether it can be disabled outright, in some campaign XML file or something.

the tranquility of servitude greater than
the animating contest for freedom, go
home from us in peace. We seek not
your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch
down and lick the hand that feeds you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
    our countrymen."
