Hi all. This is an AAR of my Turkish campaign using my AOR mod, which can be found at http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=170459 (aka it is a shameless plug for my mod).
An AOR (Area of Recruitment) mod lets you build units from other factions depending on the region. For instance in my mod, if the spanish were to capture Cordoba they could recruit Moorish units (including eventually Camel Gunners). Being able to recruit Camel Gunners was the main reason I made this mod.
So on to my turks campaign:
Here we have the turkish dominions. Most of their provinces naturally have a turkish AOR and so can only recruit turkish units, for instance:
However Trebizond was formerly byzantine and so we can recruit byzantine units from there:
Also Edessa was a former crusader stronghold so us cruel turks can force the christians to fight for us:
My first act is to declare a jihad on Jerusalem. Over two turns I gather a mighty host from all parts of my empire: part byzantine, part crusader and part turk.
With this army I march to the Holy Land and bring the enemy to bear.
My army consists of Knights of Antioch and Jerusalem and Byzantine Lancers as my shock cavalry, Byzantine Cavalry and Sipahis for mobile fire support, Ottoman infantry and Templar sergeants as my line of battle.
The army lines up for the prebattle photo and drinks:
Note templar sergeants, ottoman infantry and in the background general's bodyguard, byzantine lancers and knights of jerusalem.
The battle was nothing special to write about. An easy victory. The battle photographer got some nice screens:
Note arrow sticking out of templar sergeant's butt.
Well that's all for this post. This has been a quick demo of my AOR mod, which can be found at:

More posts as I conquer the rest of the world (including greek firethrowers hooray).
