Default Question about units with "effective vs armour"

I have another possibly stupid question.

First off, I'll start by saying that I'm not completely sure what the "effective vs armour" stat really means, but that is not reallly the point of this thread (although I wouldn't mind knowing how it works)

My real question is I'm wondering if the secondary attack of a unit that has the "effective vs armour" stat is effective vs armour also?

I ask this because during my Macedon campaign, I've noticed that my eastern heavy cavalry have been ripping through units of heavily armored cavalry (scythian nobles/archer nobles, cataphracts, etc) I've noticed the same with scythian light cavalry, as they plow right through my lines of hoplites and thorokitai even though their stats are poor on top of that they are cavalry going up against spears.

Is that normal? If so, are all "effective vs armour" units the same way?
On a related note, are all javelins effective against armour? Even the ones thrown from non "effective vs armour" units? Thureporoi (butchered spelling) are ffective vs armor and thorokitai (probably butchered too) are not, does that mean thorokitais have crappy javelins?

Again while I'm no the subject, I've heard that some units such as median cavalry's secondary attack is effective vs armour. Is this true? Are there more units with "hidden" stats like that? If so which ones, or, how can I find out which?

A a general rule the following weapon types are effective against armour: javelin, heavy javelin, pila, harpoon, axe, mace, romphia, falx, sickle, hammer, and spiked club.

I'm not sure why the heavy javelins carried by Thorakitai are not showing up as effective against armour - maybe just because they are precursor weapons.

Weapons with the armour piercing attribute only count half of the target armour rating when determining if a hit occured.

Medians use axes as a secondary, so their secondary is indeed effective against armour (or AP for armour piercing). Thorikitai should probably have AP attribute, thats a little odd...

Axes are armor piercing? What about the regular germanic axemen, I don't remember them having the AP trait

Do you guys not call it the Netherlands, not Holland? Is there a difference? Does it matter?

Well, strictly speaking Holland is just a small part of The Netherlands, albeit considered its heart. But, traditionally the word Holland is applied to the whole coutry (usually by foreigners), but at times by the Dutch themselves as well, e.g. at such occasions as sport events (Hup, Holland! means something like Go, Holland! there is a big footbal match tonight).

Which we are going to lose. O yes btw, those people in the 'heart', the Randstad, they think that the North of the Netherlands is a empty land with only farmers, which is afcaurse rediculous.
