No. Squid and others are working very hard on the patch. So its real hard to tell when the patch is ready.

Hi just to give you an example of this work.
Kera and I were working just on the Spartan preview close to 9 months.
with information on Greeks of all types also .
Then Tone skinned them and modeled them. That took a few months also , just on one faction alone . I think it was three months when Tone was done with the Spartans .
others are helping with the skinning like Dr. hobo . LE . Pacco , Bebe.
Now we have not even half of the map done . From last i heard.
DVK and many others are working on temples , stats , battle maps ,
Balance , skies , all sorts of goodies!
Also Tone and others are re skinning the Romans to beautiful historical standards to the best of our knowledge.
So its going to be a while .
My guess is and just a guess , might be before December .
But We will have a patch out soon before that time to keep you going .
We also all have Jobs , and a real life. But we add this to our life not just for us but also for you.
so please be patient .

please tell others to come to this thread if they have questions on the mod.
We want to help but it gets old after 20 or so more replies.
Guys we want this out just as much as you do. The team are working long hours . And Since were from different parts of the world while others sleep others work .
While you sleep we are working. So it will take time if you want One excellent detailed , historical , breathtaking , sword waving , shield breaking , Greek fighting , Spartan yelling , Barbarian killing .
Celt screaming , and Roman charging game.

RS2 is taking longer than expected\planned because we dug deeper into the game and decided to make some changes that will make it even better than it was going to be. So it's taking a long time, and a lot of work.

Rather than rush a release and then go back and fix a bunch of stuff we don't like, we're continuing research and making changes before we have any egg on our faces. Not that we are trying to be 'perfectionists' in the sense of never finishing, in an effort to get it perfect...just that we have plans to deliver a totally 'revised' RTW........an RTW no one would've ever spent the money on to sell, because you couldn't pay people enough to do this. It is a 'labor of love', and all I can say is..."you will love it'.

A good thing takes a lot of time, a great thing takes a good bit more. In all honesty, I'd have to say it's going to be 'at least' several months, if not more.
All of us have real life to contend with, and only so much spare time to work on this. Plus, we seem to have a 'hex' on us when it comes to failing computers...two of them recently that have put key members of the team out of commission for a while.

So I would say...enjoy RS1.5. The update will probably NOT be save game compatible, and the guy who was working on it was one who lost his PC to MB failure. (sigh)

Anyway, thank RS team for your dedication and hard work that seems to have made this the best mod in all the total war games! We will continue to harras you about the release date for RS2 I am sure, but it's all out of love
