Default NEW ROME MEDIEVAL SOUNDMOD 1.0

    ROME MEDIEVAL SOUNDMOD 1.0

After some work, and some help from Ihatemonday, the creator of IBFD's soundmod, I have created an addon for Rome Medieval 2 that adds:

-New Music in addition to the already existing music LOTK put on the original.

-New battle music for both the European factions (including the Byzantines) and for the Islamic factions.

-New menu interface sounds, for the campaign map, battle map and Main menu.

-New combat sounds; close combat now sounds much more visceral and bloody.

    Here is the download link:

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DWNVPKM1

Credit goes to Ihatemonday for his kind consent to let me use parts of his mod in my own. Hopefully this mod will make RM that bit more unique for you, as it has for me.

    Instructions:

Extract the ZIP archive to your Rome Medieval data folder, select yes to overwrite all files required.

I tried filefront, but It kept giving me an error screen when I was uploading... If it means more people will give the mod a try, then I shall try again on filefront.

Sure, but it needs to be in .mp3 format for it to work, and then I'll release a new version.

two mehter songs for Turkish sultanate
both have been uploaded by me so no permission issue, and i believe they are public domain by now

and also a traditional instrumental song

Thanks very much. If anyone else has any useful music they'd like to contribute, please, feel free to do so. Just make sure it's in .mp3 format, so that the files can read it properly.

Well, I've dug up my copy of Medieval Total War, and I'm going to loot it for sounds and music, as Morf and some others recommended a while back. Then, I'll add in Efe Pasha's Turkish music, and then I'll be able to release a new patch.

Yes, it can only be .MP3 . I don't know why, but nothing else works, I've tried it with WMP files too :hmmm:

Yes, other than the .php one. They're all very good. Perfectly suited to the game. Right now I'm trying to work through MTW's files to find the music so we have some more for the European factions as well.
