Silly Question

I downloaded Rome Realism 1.9 plat. and I have all of the prior needed downloads patch 1.2,1.3,1.5, but when I click the icon to play the game it goes right to the "read-me". or will just search for the file. It is just as though I can't find the file. It downloaded and everything. Do you know where it might be found. Sorry - I know it's a simple question. I know it's gotta be something easy, right?

Also this is the same as with Europa Barbarorum. It seems to download successfully, it just getting to the game. It worked with the Napoleonic Lordz mod. Is it that I need to uninstall Rome and reinstall and then run those programs? OK - again, sorry, I'm really new at this - thanks for any help.

No don't have vista. So I am not sure what it is.
