Help on how to put cheats

Hey I try to press the ~ key and nothing comes up, do I need a patch or something in order to use cheats?

First off, if nothing comes up, something is wrong and you may want to consider a reinstallation.

Second of all, I got bored and started cheating in one of my last campaigns and it robbed me of all of the enjoyment. Don't start, its a sucky habit to keep, even when the game becomes frustrating.

Seriuosly has anybody got a solution I have the same problem, I'm running Vista which may be it cause?

Try looking in technical help forum, they are better equipped to deal with problems running and installing MTW2 and Kingdoms. You could also try looking through some of the text files like preferences.cfg I seem to recall seeing a line that read something like "enable in game console = 0 or 1" If you can find that line and change it to enable the console, that might be the solution you are looking for. Otherwise try the tech help forum.
