Can't Uninstall

I've bought the Kingdoms expansion for medieval II. Since i had the Stainless Steel mod 4.1 installed i had to re-install medieval II in order to install kingdoms.

But when i tried to uninstall i got this error message:

The has detected that version 1.02.001 of Medieval II: Total War is already installed.

This setup installs an earlier version of Medieval II: Total War (1.00.0000).

You will have to uninstall the previous version before installing this version.

I tried manually deleting the medieval II folder but i still get the same error message even after deleting all the game files.

What do I have to do to re-install the game??

Use a registry cleaner like ccleaner.

How do I use it then?

Or just hit start, go to run... in the start menu and put in regedit

Then under hkey_local_machine go to software and delete the SEGA folder


uninstall

delete all remaining folders

delete the registry

Always do that before reinstalling anything

Thank you so, so much. That has saved me much trouble. I installed the unpacker thing, and my game crashed, so I deleted all the game files before I knew what I had done or how to fix it. It was causing me loads of trouble, I was even going to complain to Sega that all of the files in the Directory had dissappeared since I unpacked!!!

My game still doesn't run. It just comes up with a message saying fatal error had to abort, or something like that. The other one I get was unknown error had to abort, or something. please help me.
