    Default So M2tw fans...

Why should i play this instead of any other of the tw series? Are there any good reasons?

its the newest one, u can play rtw but it just has so little features (even tho a lot of m2tw are half assed) and the graphics are horrible compared to m2tw, the only reason for someone to buy rtw or lower is a dislike for medieval history, which would include m1tw as a tw game as well and a lot of interest in either the asian or ancient history, although I cant possibly imagine someone still choosing for shogun.

I dont really feel any difference between rtw and m2tw. The fact is though...shoguns still the most difficult and fun to play.

Suit yourself, I played rtw more than I would ever play m2tw, but even with EB it cant keep me there any longer.

Because of the Stainless Steel mod. Makes it all worth it.

I actually advice you to play all the TW games, as they are all good. But if you're accustomed to good graphics you should probably go for RTW or M2TW, just make sure they're patched and at least go for the M2TW retrofit mod first, if you want a game close to vanilla.

I've played and loved all the TW games, but M2TW was initially a disappointment compared to MTW and even RTW. But patched up and with some mods this game is nice, and I'm pretty tired of the older TW games now anyway.

Lusted's "Lands to Conquer gold" is the best mod I've tried so far, but Stainless Steal and Broken Crescent both look interesting.

Anyone care to tell me which one of these I should try next? SS looks more like vanilla with new colour and a few new units, while BC seems like total conversion and very historically accurate game. I loved the Byzzies in MTW but hated them in M2TW so perhaps BC is the game for me as the ERE seems alot more intersting.

You might want to play RTW if your machine is not up to M2TW graphics.

IMO, RTW has slightly better tactical and strategic gameplay. M2TW has better graphics and eye candy, and richer play at the campaign level (merchants and priests)

In short, IMO: RTW is an EXCELLENT game, and M2TW is, all things considered, slightly better.

its just a matter of time till those are replaced by more in-depth m2tw mods tho, rtw just has the advantage of being released earlier.

    Hi,

    Well, let me think:hmmm:
There is number of reasons why you should play M2TW.

1.New units, new graphics, new graphics engine.
2.It covers very interesting period of middle ages.
3.Plenty of mods for it, new ones are coming out.
4.Definitely try SS 6.1, LTC Gold, and Broken Crescent.
5.Much more slaughter than in ROME.
    6.Elements of RPG.
    7.Has gorgeous princesess.
    8.More factions.
    9.More content.
10.Soldiers acctualy get blood on their tunics and uniforms.
11.Ferocious Timurids are one of the factions.
12.You get to go to America.
    13.No Senate.
    14.Bigger maps.
15.You can cross Gibraltar, Bosphorus and Dardanels straits without the boats.
16.You get to go to Timboktue.
17.You can fight in Crusades and Jihads.
18.You get to argue with the Pope.
19.Castles, forts, cities are more realistic.
20.You get to fight the Aztecs.

    And there are many more..............

    Enjoy the game.

In which the weapon and victim never connect, woohoo!

In the end u just gotta decide for yourself, noble lord has some, but I dont agree with all of them. rtw cant be expensive anymore so buy that one play it a bit and see if u like it, if u dont then theres a good chance that u wont like m2tw that much either because they use the same engine.
