mouse doesn't work properly with 8000+ graphics card

i cant select units to group unless i hot key it aswell as can not attack. everytime i try my guys just walk around aimlessly. is it my mouse or button/mouse config? i played rtw and mtw2 but this is way different.

I'm not sure if I fully understand you. Are you trying to figure out how to group units together and recall them during battle?

and attack etc., do u have to use hot keys or can u use mouse?

No, you should be able to use the mouse as well as the keyboard commands.

Are you having trouble getting the mouse to work properly then? Is that what you were saying earlier?

ya i cant high light the units and group them with mouse, nor can i send them to attack. my mouse works fine on the other assembly games but not mtw/shogun

You don't happen to have an 8000 series video card or higher, do you? I ask because quite a few people who have them in their computers tend to have mouse problems with both MTW and Shogun.

8800 gts, i added those files just to play mtw but whenever i get into battles, all my men do is walk around even if i dont want them to.

Yep, I bet that's the problem then. Apparently the 8800 is especially notorious in causing problems with MTW running properly. I don't know whether anyone's found a solution for them or not. :hmmm:
