    Default Wheel Of Time RTW

Hi, I know this isn't a fresh idea, but maybe this mod can be constructed with the help of some Forumers and Modders.

For all of you not knowing what Wheel Of Time is, Its a series of books by Robert Jordan.Info on these books can be found easily by searching Google(Blackle).

For all of you interested in this please post, or PM me.

This said, I couldn't be the leader of this mod, as I'm short in resources(slow IC resulting in lack of programs needed for modding, experience,....)I do have understandings of how some things work, so I can help developing some of the codes for it...

I also have some ideas for this mod

    Here are the links to

    Dead WoT mod

    Direct Download

Thank you in advance!I'd really appreciate if someone responded!

And now, I present you the very first Wallpaper for the Wheel of Time mod for RTW, made by Worm

There isn't already a Wheel of Time : Total War on the Org ? You should contact them...

That was Myrddraal's now dead mod (at the Org).

There is one on the backburner for m2tw (contact GrnEyeDevil (sp?) for that) but such mods are a *huge* amount of work. About 3 years for a *fast* skilled leader with good support and lots of time.

Thanks for replying guys, it's an honor.

I have contacted Myrdraal about providing me with the data of their dead mod.I'm waiting for his PM right now.

I'm hoping this data they have will be enough to continue the mod and complete it.However, the thing that killed this mod was the lack of manpower, so it would be very helpful if anyone joined...

Personally I would love to see a Wheel of Time mod, so good luck and I hope it becomes a reality.

Yes, I'd like to see one too. A word of advice: if you do start one (and I'd advise you not to unless you can do most of it yourself both in terms of time and skill) keep it extremely focused to 2 main factions, make one playable, perhaps a third to make the campaign more interesting. Use only a part of the map. Think minimalist. You can always expand it later should you be able to complete the "minimod".

I think your method is the better... FATW has followed this way, isn't it ?

Myrdraal hasn't been active on the ORG in a while now (a week or so), so I'm still waiting a reply about uploading the data of their mod.I think they had Campaign Map made and some units descriptions too, but I'm not sure.

I also would like to have some signatures and some commercial stuff to advertise the mod so more people know about it and possibly join.

Yes, Al-Hassen. And if it had not you'd still be waiting for a stable playable release

I like this way . With it I'm sure that every release is better than the previous.

We haven't released anything yet, but if we hadn't scaled the Inca mod down into a three stage release it probably would have died by now. By scaling it down from 12 to only 5 factions and from 175 to 50 regions we made some more realistic goals. But the task of completely replacing all aspects of the game and creating what we want it to do is still daunting.

There's a lot to learn and a lot of little things your always finding that you want to or need to change. Best thing I found is to break it down into mini acheivable goals. ie:

    Working map
    Custom provinces and cities
    Custom Icons
    Custom standard designs
    Custom Faction names
    Custom Family Names
    etc

This way each one is a little accomplishment and goals people can work towards.

Got the reply from Myrdraal, but it seems he doesn't have the Data, so I have turned to other former team members......

I'd kill to see a Wheel of Time Total War mod. Seriously the Legion of the Dragon, and Two Rivers archers would make that for me.

Ah, ok. I'm an American of German and Croatian hertiage, I speak German, and am learning Serbo-Croatian.

    Hope that clears things up.

Isn't the author of the series Robert Jordan? And didn't he die before the last book was finished?
Worst part of trying to express a point is when someone says what you said better and gets praised.
