Yes there is a merge unit button if you select troops, on the bottom of the ledger.

Yes, you can play any existing nation by right-clicking the flags.

Yeah thanks i realised earlier, how come with poorer countries, it takes longer to build tanks even though you have enough resources?

You taslking about building or researching? Tanks need a lot of IC, most small countries don't have enough so building takes longer.

IC is in the top right corner. I think it is like this;

IC=Industrial capacity
TC= Transport capacity.

Thanks, also i dont get this merge thing, i just had about 4 units i wanted to make into an army, can someone explain how to make them into an army please? And what are the best things to research in 1936? I normally do infantry, tanks, planes and whatever i have blueprints for. What does shore and plane bombing do? Does it weaken their infantry?

You're really better off reading the manual. There are ton of things you can do in the game, and those you just asked are just the basics.
Merging divisions can be done by placing them in the same province, selecting them all by holding left mouse button and dragging, and then clicking on the merge button that should be at the bottom of the army info screen that appears.

Omg this sucks, i had 90 Russian divisions, modern tanks and infantry and they could not even beat 12 Romanian divisions

I guess their morale was really low. IIRC the max a general can command (Is the highest rank Field Marshal?) is 24 divisions.

Having about that will give them an organization penalty I believe.

Kind of some time since I played HOI2, though. So I might be wrong.
