    Default Editing #of men in a unit???? help

    I've heard about it and seen it done in a couple mods(which i regret to say i do not remember which ones exactly, i've tried so many)

    I want to use it in the mod i'm working on, but i can't figure it out. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

    Well, if you've unpacked your game, there'll be something called edit_descr_units.edu.

    For more details, moved to Text Editing.

    never heard of edit_descr_units.edu but export_descr_units.txt i'm pretty sure has what you need I think highlighted the only value necessary to change unit numbers

    The maximum is 100 which will give you a unit of 250 with settings on huge. It is recommended to use a maximum of 96 (=240) because 100 can cause crashes.
    Officer to a soldier who refuses to fight: There three types of soldiers who don't have to fight. They are called KIA, MIA and POW and you are not one of them.

    Tosa will be missed.

    I tried this here for Sherwood archers. I changed it from 24 to 48 so that there could be 60 units per stack instead of 30 (the other 60-man stacks had 48 as their number so thats why I put it). Nothing changed in the game. :hm:

    there's something called
    Code:
    [io]
    file_first = 1
    that you put in config file. Uncheck and re-check read-only before starting game.

    You right click the M2TW icon and choose properties.
    In the target entry add --io.file_first to it. Click apply. If it doesn't want to accept it, then you might have gotten mixed up with the " sign. Not sure if you add before or after it.

    Okay I tried adding "--io.file_first" to the target line of my shortcut. It wouldn't let me do it no matter where I put it in the line. I also opened properties of the icons in the MTW2 folder. No target lines there.

    You open it with Notepad. Don't worry about the bother, that's why we all are here at the forum.
