Default Is it worth purchasing MTWII?

I recently downlaoded the demo version of the game so that I could have a look to see if my computer would run the game.

My computer has 1.28gb of Ram, a 2.4 intel Pentium 4 processor and a Nvidia 6200, 256mb graphics card. This is above the minimum spec for the game, yet when I ran the demo, it ran so slowly and chunkily that it ruined it. Is this just a problem with the demo, or will the game itself be like this?, for if it is I think I'll stick with RTR Platinum, which my computer runs fine on high graphics settings.

Your computer is barely above miminum. If your'e worried about slow and clunky, stick to RTR. Graphics in this thing will eat your old graphics card for lunch if you wan to play on high settings for everything.

So is the general concensus that if I put the settings to the lowest it should run fine? What about the unit sizes, will these have to be set at the smallest or could I run medium or large units? I know that huge units will probably be out of the question.

I could run on low with huge settings and it will only lagg if you zoom in to watch the combat, i now play on lowest and small settings and it's almost perfect, it will do untill i get my new comp in a month

It's worth its money, only with a universal mod like SS or DLV.

Would changing my virtual memory settings have any affect? If so, what should I set them to in order to make a difference?

Some will argue differently but my experience is leave it alone unless you're a computer geek.
