Default Very Low Poly Units on High Settings

I found this a bit strange, but I keep turning up the settings only to still find most of the units appearing to be set a an extremely low detail level. I open the in-game video options to see the unit setting still set to "high"; can anyone give me a good-looking solution? Thanks in advance.

"See that? I just split my pants like the incredible Hulk. Brawndo will make you need NEW PANTS! And while you're out getting new pants, you should probably get some new shoes, because your old shoes will be worn out from KICKING EVERYONE'S ASS ALL THE TIME!"

The vanilla units weren't made to the detail of the ones in M2TW or even some RTW mods.

Can't agree more with irishron on that one. Mods, generally, have higher detailed units than vanilla RTW. Most will also have a better campaign map.

This does make them a bit more resource intensive than vanilla.

No, we agree. You just finished in print my thoughts.
