Will RS2 run on lower end computers?

Simple question:Will RS2 be able to run on computers that aren't brand new and don't have up to date hardware? My pc can run any mod for RTW as long as grass is off and with Large unit sizes and medium unit detail. I've been looking at the previews and I'm a bit concerned.

Those are my computer specs. I know they aren't great but it functions well for it's purpose.

Get a new video card. I just love the 8900s myself, and they've really come down in price.

Well, how much would it cost to upgrade from 512mb of ram to 1gb of ram and for the said video card?

Get at least 2gigs of RAM. I think you're looking at about $250, maybe $300.

Huh? What kind of insane prices are those? I bought my 2 GB for 35 € which is ~50 $. Not Kingston, those are ~45 € aka ~70 $.

Eesh...that's kind of out of the question. I'm 15 and my mom refuses to upgrade our computer because she's kind of computer illiterate and a bit of a technophobe regarding the subject, not to mention money is kind of tight. I have my own money in my savings accounts but I'm not allowed to spend it.

You need to wage a PR campaign to convince her to want to upgrade your computer. Tell her you need it for school, so you can use Photoshop and other high-end software, so you can learn the PC skills you need to get a good college scholarship.

Your basic pitch: spending a couple hundred bucks on the PC now will save her tens of thousands in a few years.

Then find a local PC place that can do the upgrade for you, so she doesn't have to worry about it. Make it painless. And find a good card on ebay at a good price, so she can see you're getting a good deal.

you can get an extra 512mb of RAM for not too much money, and it will make quite a difference. Cant give you any exact figures but jst go to your local store

The team is also hopeful of releasing a "lower end" version that should hopefully make it easier for older computers to run 2.0

The snag with ram upgrade is, you have to buy the same brand, and exact same type of ram, and same size sticks. 1 gig, and a 512 stick wont run as good as 1gig on its own. and two different brands wont function properly if at all.

I have a question:In RS1.5 the roman legionaries have a quite good graphic.Will the units in RS2.0 be the same good or it will be with more graphic(will the units be more detailed than the RS1.5 legionaries)?

The detail on all models has been increased

all that talk about getting identical slots of RAM is sheesh kebab, im from england and i used to have 512mb of Ram just like u, my rtw tends to run slow, so i just went down to PC world and said i want a GIG of RAM for my pc does it matter if i put in 1 gig or get 2 512 sticks, they told me either way is fine, so i just added a 1 gig stick of RAM to my pc boosting it to 1.5 gig and now it works wonderful, infact i can have 4 armys on huge running rather smoothly where before i struggled wth just 2 and the best thing is 1 gig of ram only costs £25!!! how cheap is that!!!like u my pc isnt the best for graphics card andf so on, but add ram makes a whole world of difference, infact go to www.crucial.com and u can test ur pc and see what difference it will make to ur pc if u add ram to it.

watch what you buy on ebay, i bought supposedly 2 x 1gb of kingston ddr ram of there for round about 60 pounds, but it was some cheap knock offs. though admittedly they did have the kingston sticker, but when i added them to computer they was some japanese/chinese brand, and after a few minutes they fused out my motherboard and practicly broke my computer, it was a new one i was building too, ahh well, i recently found out from my friend, that they was high-density and my board couldent support it. so yeh watch what you buy.
