War Plans

I want to know what you guys are plan on doing in your first campaign what are your personal goals.
Mine are to make the Straks as the rightful rulers over Westeros. And take revenge for the killing of ned and capuering his daughters what are your plans.

I think I'll go for Greyjoy and go for Theon's plan: sack Lannisport and maybe capture Casterly Rock. That should give me the necessary resources to build me an army worthy of the Drowned God.

Eeeexactly! I'm so much looking forward to actually being able to do that... keep on the promising work!

I can't really say at the moment, so many options. I'm really looking forward to the diplomacy side of the game though, forging marriage and alliance deals.

I will probably go with the Starks first. Dash headlong into the Riverlands, and link up with my Tully Allies. From there, turn towards Casterly Rock, taking the rich city of Lannisport and whatever other spoils are in my way.

Oh yeah. The Frey's..must....pay.....

PS: Jon will lead the vanguard.

I'll play with Dorne first. I hope their units will have new skins in first release.

I am pretty sure that there will be all new skins. We've talked a lot about the immersion process and that goes a long way. Have you checked out the work LordSnow has done with the Stark faction? Truly magnificent.

Yeah, some awesome skins/shields in the Stark army preview. I really hope this mod gets completed. Playing the ASOIAF series would be unbelievably fun.

I'd probably play as the Baratheons/Stannis first and launch my invasion from Dragonstone. That or be the Tullys and fight off the Lannisters.

Well, I can say from exp. that beta testing is going great, and things are smooth. I've played 76 + turns into a Stark campaign with no bugs whatsoever.

The mod is going great, and we have Gamepie to thank for that and LordSnow for his beautiful skins


PS: I've stuck to my plans, cept that the Tully's got to the Frey's before me!

Thats awesome but how is the mod progressing? Are more factions units and characters being completed or so far just the Starks?

Work is currently being done on the strat map models, giving generals and captains unique skins, etc.

Work on the custom ancillaries is also progressing. The vanilla ancillaries don't fit in Westeros so we have to make a lot of new ones.

most likely i will have to go with the starks, Joffrey will pay for Neds death.......although i'm kinda looking forward to Martell, the Dornishmen were the last to hold out against The Dragon and were only conquered by marrage so to me they kinda have that aura of strength, and the other factions seem to speak of them with worry in the voice, no one wants to piss off Dorne!, perhaps the time of waiting is at an end, perhaps the time for Dorn to flex its muscle has come at last!

Personally I think that the Eyrie has been dormant for too long and needs to become more involved in the war against the Lannisters.

If you remember most of the eyrie lords wanted to join the starks/tully in the war, but good'ol Lisa Arryn decided she wanted to be paranoid :o

It's true. The Eyrie and the Lords of the Vale have strong ties to the Tully's and the North, not just through blood shared in family lineage, but through blood spilled on the battlefield.

The Eyrie has been pretty aggressive thus far in Beta testing, and while playing a campaign with Stannis' faction, I was engaged in a batter battle with Lord Robert over Rook's Roost and Maidenpool. I also engaged them via naval assault, capturing Gulltown.

I think everyone is going to be really excited with what Gamepie and the rest of the team has been able to do. A lot of hours and hard work is going into this project, that much I can tell you!

The Eyrie should have an AI script that causes it to be defensive all the time? I dunno. Shouldn't attack until 100% sure of victory. The player can do the opposite in their game, of course.

As for me in my warplan, Dorne is going to conquer the world ... (well, Westeros anyway)

I'll play with Joffrey. I plan to send diplomats to other factions, I'll try to bribe them and forge alliances with them. When I have enough generals I will start my invasions. If my enemies don't accept their chance to be vassals I will destroy them

I'm going to destroy the Iron Islands with the might of the North.....then the Lannisters.

Then I'll play as the lannisters and conquer it all.
