Hi, first of all, sorry if you don't understand me, im not english and mine it's not perfect. And I am sorry if this thread shouldn't be in this forum... I didn't really know where to post it (I searched, but I didn't see any good forum to do it).

Well, I have a problem. I have mtw2 gold edition (in spanish, anyway I can choose to install it in english when installing). The problem is that I choose to install it on english to be able to play mods without problems. But when I play it the game is in spanish. I look at it in properties and it says the game is in english (UK).

I tried reinstalling the game, but I didn't solve it. I wanted to ask if an english traduction patch exists, or if someone knows how to solve my problem.

I also have the european, non-english version of M2TW (not gold, but I don´t think that matters much). I tell you how it is with my version, perhaps it is the same with yours. I can choose between different language versions, but if I choose "english", only the installer is in english, not the program M2TW. But that is no problem with mods. I can play all mods with my german version. The only "problem" (I don´t see this really as a problem) is that I have a language mix when I play mods: The original data from the game is in german, and the modded files are in english. But most things work.

At least the bigger mods (for example SS and BC) are made and supported by experienced people. If there really is a problem, someone else has probably solved it before. You can ask in the forums that are especially for those mods if you have a technical problem. If I remember right, there was a problem with some sound files in SS if you have a non-english version, but this was solved, and the solution is not very difficult.

So my advice is: Install in spanish, read in the FAQ section of the mod for problems, download and install a mod, and just try it. I only play with mods, and seldom get problems because of my version.

Well, most mods I have played gave me some problems because of the language (CTDs when selecting eastern/danish/scottish units in the campaign map, random CTDs in other mods...). And it is right that mods like SS don't give me those problems, but I prefer other mods more simple ^^.

I have already played all the mods I have seen in twc and the ones I like give me problems cause of the language xD.

So i don't see any other solution than getting an english traduction. But i'll suppose that it doesn't exist.

I just hope that Empire TW will have the option to install it in english for us non-english people, but I doubt it.
