Orcs of Misty Mts

I started a tread about Orcs of Misty Mts I think they will be fun to play as so if you like the Orcs of Misty Mts post your thoughts hear I want to know about units and the history of Orcs of Misty Mts so letts gett posting

I don't know much about them, but I do know that they are wild Orcs, goblins, etc...

Mostly a ****load of small goblins, swarms of them, backed by few large orcs. Of course there would be cities in the Misty Mts, like Moria, Gundabad, High Pass... It would be definetly fun to play them

I seen on some web sites some pic of of them on spiders I think that should be in the game.

And is it true they control trolls?

No way any goblins riding with spiders ! That's one of the biggest rapes of Tolkien's lore! EA used them in BFME2 and I was pretty pissed about that . Tolkien hasn't never said anything about orcs riding with spiders. And anyway there was spiders in Mirkwood, not in Misty Mountains. No, no, no, no!

EDIT: And yes, goblins "controlled" trolls but I think trolls worked more from their own will than because orcs told them to do something.

And now what I know about goblins. They lived mostly in Misty Mountains and many of their cities/towns had belonged to dwarves before them (Gundabad, Moria). Most of them were about same height as dwarves but they were much lighter and weaker. They were extremely sensitive to sun and light. They weren't as black skinned as Saruman's uruks and orcs of Mordor, they had more like grey skin or maybe even white.

They should have the lowest recruitment cost and upkeep of all factions, since they rely on massive numbers.

i read in a letter(or maybe it was a critic) of tolkien that orcs aren't grey or white..... they !all! have yellow skins, maybe like chinese(sorry for this comparison) or mongolian people. i think this is easy to consider!

Well, if you have watched the movies their skin was gray or almost white. I'm not telling that movies are right about that but since team is going to make units look pretty much same as they looked in movies. And I'd like to know where I can read about that yellow skin. And since when Asians have had yellow skin

Yeah I'd say that thing he read about yellow skinned orcs was probably a joke. I mean it not a very scary colour. If it was Bananas in Pyjamas wouldn't have been a childrens show

Ya we will probably stick with the movies on most of the skins, just because of the physical reference, but feel free to correct the movies, so that we can be as accurate as possible.

it wasn't a yellow like bananas, more like ochre. he said this in a critic about a film script which was written by Forrest J. Ackerman in the late 50's. no joke!!!

Well I think the goblins should be week but have power in there number and should have control of trolls that will give them a powerful unit and they should be gray in color but that’s just my opinion and what do you guys think there cavalry units should be?
