    Default Family Members...

Hello, I'm currently playing as Rome (RTR) and I've taken all of Italy and Sicily so far but I've ran out of family members to run the privinces I take. It's the only thing stopping me from advancing.

I only get a family member every so often but then the old ones die, Is there a way to get more family members by promoting Captains or something. I know you can bribe them from others but that would mean going into enemy territory and I'm not made of Denari.

Also can you edit the files once you've started a game?

    Thank's.

the game will automaticly give you more fm's. either by adoptions, marriages, MOTH's, or whatever.
don't be afraid, the game won't let u die
i think if you fight some battles with a captain , you now have more chance of getting a moth
btw, how many provinces and how many fm's do you have?

Also, there's not really a necessity to have a governor in each city.

The will balance the number of family members with the number of provinces, if you have conquered fast and have relatively few members you will get more adoptions and man of the hour offers. Also, more children will be born.
I believe that the man of the hour system has some failures in its data, and the adoptions too, but if you receive a message that your adoption has failed then either you have gotten one or more male babies, or you clicked the message away since this (apparently) makes the adoption fail.

dude i have this problem all the time. dont worry about having a family member run ur settlements or fight ur battles. just keep on fighting. and in then end ur gonna have some settlements without a family member. thats wat happens when u conquer the world

You'll never have a family member for every city. The game engine automatically lowers frequencies for marraiges and eliminates adoptions and MOTH's when you have too many family members for your cities (I think the ratio is 3 cities for every 2 family members (3:2)) So you'll never be able to have a governor for each settlement, and if you didn't click manage all settlements at the start of the campaign (which you should have, as the AI automanage hurts you more than helps you), then your screwed.
