SS 6.1 advice

Guys, I'm pretty new to mods and this is only my second post here and I'd like to say I've been reading around and I'm so glad that you guys exist.

Anyway, I'm new to mods and I recently installed the Stainless Steel Mod with the 6.1 patch and its perfect and all but the loading between turns is epic. It drives me effing crazy and I usually end up quitting and playing the Retrofit Mod.

I've got a 2 Inter Core Duo processors and a 256mb standard Nvidia graphics card, 2GB RAM, etc. What do I need to do in order to dramatically improve loading speed between turns?

turn off the watch AI move option is a major starter. my comp is less than yours and I find it fine as long as i don't watch the AI moves.

I have, and I also didnt click any of the other options in the patch this time round when I installed it. I also heard from another sub forum that deleting the Princess event and death of a King does improve speed, anyone know how to delete them? The path files, etc.
