    Default Is it possible....

I was wondering is it possible to add a building that changes the culture of the city?
As in my current campaign the Gauls just seem to have huge cities and therefroe I cant convert them to a roman city which seems silly to me.

So is it possible to add a building to each culture that can change the cities culture no matter how big it is?
Or is there another way aound this so i can get the result I want, as I actually what my empire to look roman not barbarian!

Yeah, glad to know others feel the same way.

This is kinda putting me off invading gaul as I cant romanise it due to every settlement they own is a huge city, and thats from looking at the map info I got before the war (about 10 years ago).

I had another idea, is it possible to add a new palace to the faction you are playing so this is possible. cos therefore you can upgrade every settlement to your culture no matter how big? Would that work?

Yes this also bugs me, unfortunately it doesn't seem like it would be possible, based on previous experience with the RTW engine.

Let's hope something can be done, though.

There is no culture in RS, the culture penalty you are talking about is on a per building basis, so you should be able to build over or destroy all buildings except farms, roads, mines and the governor building, meaning you will always have some culture penalty but not a whole lot of it.

What they mean is that the city still 'looks' like a barbarian city on the campaign map - its culture on the map represents a barbarian one. Is there any way of changing this when they're at the huge city level?

Hmmmm, I think XGM did that with their culture representation, I'm not sure though, I need to play a bit more to see it.........
