    Default Changing city names...

I've seen this done before in the 1143 mod (where if a Christian faction claims a Muslim city the name changes to a Christian one and vice versa), and I thought this would be cool to implemnet into EB 2 (Qart - Hadast into say, Carthago, if Romans seige.)

There has been discussion of this, but it would be hard to do for every single language. It wouldn't be fair to do this just for Latin and doing this for a dozen languages would weight down the files for EB2. Expect something, though...

Hmmm...looks like a cool idea, I am very sorry it cannot be implemented...

How about the player choosing the new name?

This can already be done, in both Rtw and mtw2. Open up the settlement details scroll and click on the name at the top and you can type in whatever you want. You may need to edit the preferences for this.

For the record, that shouldn't be done in EB1, because it messes up the script.

Indeed. Hence why I don't do it. Sorry I should have said.

The cool thing about M2TW script, though, is that different triggers can be used allowing the player to rename cities without screwing anything up in M2TW.

BTW, I didn't exactly say it wouldn't be implemented...

You can manually select your capital, Hunnis. It is under settlement details.

We cannot force the AI to change their capital at all.

I wish we could at least force the AI to not change their capital. Arche Seleukeia had their capital at Antiocheia. If the AI kept their capital there, the distance penalty would encourage the east to rebel as it historically did. But instead the AI moves their capital to some place like Gabai and instead lets the west fall apart.

For me they move the capital to Babylon each time, if they don't hold that city, then Susa, if they don't have Susa.. well I'm going to find out what happens then soon enough

This is a feature from Kingdoms at least, I remember it from the Americas campaign.

I understand that it would be infeasible to do for every faction language in game, but maybe just the native language, Latin and Greek? Greek would be the dominant language at the time, right, with all the Hellenic influence and stuff? And Latin because of RTW and Rome becoming dominant and all.

Most would be Greek, with some minour local languages, such as Latin, and since all Greek unit names, descriptions, buildings, building descriptions, and city names have already been translated in EB, consider it done.

Greek was the "Lingua Franka" of that period of time, thus is historically accurate the use of Alexandrini koine as the basic language of the mod(like EB 1)
