Default Putting RTW:BI units in RTW

Is this possible? As I prefer RTW but would like to give the Gauls and Germans some more units.
    Thanks.

One of the easier unit changes you can make, as the units are already installed, you just need to go about changing the correct text files in your RTW data folder, mainly.

The two vital ones are your descr_model_unit.txt and export_descr_unit.txt - basically you need to find the entry for the unit you want in these files in the BI data folder, and paste them into the corresponding text files in the RTW data folder. Making sure you get the right folder is very important, obviously. (Also make sure that when you paste into the RTW text file, you change the unit ownership to one of the RTW factions). Making them recruitable in campaign requires adding them into one of the buildings text files, can't remember which exactly. There are plenty of tutorials on adding units, I would look there for details.

    Cheers mate nice one!
Can this be done with the MODS as well, like Europa Barbarorum?
That has Belgae units in they look awesome!
    Thanks again.

Yes Simon, you can take them from most mods as well, the only real limiting factor being available slots in the DMB (descr_model_battle.txt). Just be sure it's only for personal use unless you've been given specific permission to release something by the creator of the unit.

Thanks AveCaesar, Yes its just for personal use.
I just want to beef up the Gauls and Germans.
I like everything else in RTW though.
Now I can give the Gauls Belgae units!
