    Default To keep things fun for me: New project.

    So after releasing/fixing SSTC I have been busy doing minor things here and there, you know the drill, fixing editing testing etc.

    What I have decided to do, The frontier being my inspiration, is to enhance the change from steel and arrows to gunpowder and pikes. I decided to do this while reworking cannons which will also be released in an update for RAJ. I originally wanted to make this a stand alone campaign but i think it's best to just enhance the existing ones.

    I will do so by:
    • Enabling/disabling certain units trough event triggers. Starting to work on this now.
    • Enhancing gunpowder effectiveness. :60% done.
    • A very minor AOR. (Very minor) :0% done.
    • Adding a few "new" units. (These will actually be variations of vanilla units. For example: I have made dragoons for western factions by mounting musketeers.) :20% done.
    • I will also increase the end year of the campaign, :100% done.
    • Add new events and, : Undecided.
    • Edit victory conditions (not sure on this one.) : Undecided.

    This concludes my project's plan and I will name it EG (Extended Gameplay) most likely.

    I will base this project on RR + Revised Novgorod Roster mod and make RAJ optional.

    Sounds great!

    I really like the enabling/disabling certain units trough event triggers, and adding new events(historical ones) part!

    And it would be cool if a little info window would pop-up to inform you which unit was disabled/enabled with certain event!

    Do you plan to do some work on new archers animation that were discussed earlier on?

    For example: Important ports (Like Genoa) will enable specific "exotic" units. More on this later.

    You will indeed see a window popping up. I will not add new archer animations though, it's not my expertise.

    Be advised that this does not add a new campaign, it simply smoothens the flow to the late era a bit, and it should keep it interesting longer.

    are you going to add the ability to convert to protestantism and have a Europe burst into war over it because that would be awesome. (also making factions more aggressive somehow would also be very much appreciated)

    Not for the first release which will pretty much be a beta.
    (also making factions more aggressive somehow would also be very much appreciated)

    Well, just a minor AOR for the first release, I might expand it. But as there already is an AOR mod being worked on I might keep my AOR focused on late era units.

    What about SSTC? There are still issues with animations, as PB noted...

    Ok a little heads up: I have been messing with cannons a lot and I'm getting close to a realistic cannonball bounce sequence.

    I'll post a screeny of the mounted Musketeers tomorrow.

    Awesome. Follow the bouncing ball.

    This sounds great. I never continued into the late game much. Looks like Chem is giving me a reason to.

    I really like the idea of exotic units for important settlements.

    Ok I got the cannonball pretty much like this: The ball is aerial about 50% of the original distance, after that it will bounce until it rolls (It is not likely for the ball to bounce over a unit any longer. It can happen but only in certain situations).

    When it rolls it can still take out men.

    As to the exotic units: I was thinking about units like for example the monster ribault, which you can get by having a high end port. (just to name something, nothing permanent)
