    Default Isengard

I didn't saw a tread yet that centered on Isengard so I thought why not make it, after all their my favorite faction and rightfull owners of Middle Earth. So how about the units, they will have: Uruk Hai Swordman, Uruk Hai Pikeman, Uruk Hai Crossbowman, Uruk Hai Berserkers, Isengard Ballista and those dark man(forgot name, dunderlings or something). Would Isengard have more units? And talk about other Isengard things also at this tread(would be usefull).

    isengard bowmen

not in the movies but in the books (they had human longbows-better than goblin/orcish shortbows)
Glorfindel, the Lord of the House of the Golden Flower

...Glorfindel was tall and straight, his hair was of shining gold, his face fair and young and fearless and full of joy, his eyes were bright and keen, and his voice like music, on his brow sat wisdom, and in his hand was strength...

... the Elven-wise, lords of the Eldar from beyond the furthest seas. They do not fear the Ringwraiths, for those who have dwelt in the Blessed Realm live at once in both worlds, and against both the Seen and the Unseen they have great power...

    Warg Riders!

What about mines? Could they be implemented as a type of siege material that you construct while laying siege? Maybe work like the sap points in Rome, but closer to the walls, destroying them instantly? Only berserkers could operate them, of course.
Think it would be possible, or would it make them overpowered siegers?

I think mines should be avalible to build. But they should take a long time to build (around 5 turns.)

Mines should be buildable siege weapons, just like cannons. Maybe it could be included that a fire arrow in the right place detonates them, that would be awesome.

Would that be realistic? The odds of firing a flaming arrow and hitting the fuse, thus detonating the mine must be astronomically low...
I'd say berserker with a torch is the way to go.

    That's most probably the "Raiders"...
And those have swords, not bows. Lurtz was the one with the bow.

anyway a mixed unit with a bow and sword is a good addon to the roaster XD

That was crossbowmen, and they are an independent unit.

well i dont have the DVD with me in Aus right now ><

anyway i was wondering why Dunlands arent a faction themselves , they only help Isengard for the lands back from rohan , after they have it back they wouldnt have a reason to obey thier orders LOL

PS: the RTW third age mod made a great presentation of them
