I'm English, and i've been told i speak with a "middle england" accent. but i would love to speak with a South African accent. It would help me if i ever go into arms dealing or merc work.

I've noticed that everywhere GFM. When i vist Dubai or when i talk to international students, people have the strongest weirdest American accents. I ask them what part of the States they are from and they reply that they've never been. What is with that? Is the way people are taught using American language tools/teachers/tv?
My good friend who's from Manchester (UK) sounds like Brian from Family Guy. He's never been to the US and A. He says its tv and film.

Weird how people like the Aussie accent. I was just about mobbed by crowds of admiring fans when I visited the US some years back. Couldn't buy an orange crush without people asking me to say different things.
Anyway I'd like an Irish or Scottish accent.
