Adding characters

i have just tried to add a princess in for the knights templar and i eventually got her to show on the campaign map, but she has no name and no options appear in the diplomacy screen when i attempt to deal with other factions, also she appears in red rather than white (not sure if this is correct for kt)
would also like her to appear in the family tree
here is what i added

character Adela, princess, female, age 21, x 337, y 80
traits IAmPrincess 1 , NaturalPrincess 2 , GoodPrincess 1 , BraveWoman 1 , EducatedWoman 1

anyone able to help me fix this please

Did you open descr_sm_factions and change "can have princess" from no to yes for the knights templar?

also do you have her in the family tree?

bdotward is correct. You also need to add her to the relative line below the character definitions as princesses have to be part of the royal family.
