Weird computer crashes during battles

everytime i start a battle my computer will randomly turn off a few minutes into the battle

my computer is plenty powerful enough to run the game and i tried re-installing a couple times already

i also just installed the gold edition. it says it installs all the lastest patches but idk if there is still another patch i need or not

I assume then you installed Kingdoms. Thendid you get this one? www.totalwar.com and in the forums find Kingdoms Update Released. It's only for Kingdoms. They change nothing concerning the Grand Campaign.

grr i set the graphics as low as possible and it still did it. im using a gaming laptop and my comp does warm up quite a bit. is it possible that my comp is overheating? idk i dont think its warming up any more then any other games. hmmmm....

GC and Kingdoms with their 3d graphics being so intense use up more power than any other game out there right now. Power equals heat and it will run hotter than any other game out there. Heat an issue? I say tes.
