After i had taken the Aztec's first city, the Aztec emperor laid siege to me next turn. The turn after that he attacked me with far greater numbers.
My original plan was to man the walls with my troops , my regular procedure but then i looked at my central plaza and realized i could defend it with ease.
There was a road leading to the plaza with building to the left and a grass patch to the right.Troops could not move in the grass patch but i wondered if Missiles could travel through it. I took a gamble and placed all of my infantry ( spear and bill militia ) and blocked the street leading to the plaza. I then places my cannon units to the right , overlooking the grass patch so they could hopefully fire on enemy troops which would be packed into the street waiting to fight my men.
Unfortunately after this battle the Aztecs sieged me again, overran my men killing my young 7 start general Harold and took back there land
This is what happend
All of these dead men were killed by my cannons!
I eventually pushed them back down the street and killed the Emperor
