Default "Missing Shortcut" when starting Diadochi

Hello, I am new to downloading large mods for RTW. When I found this mod, I decided to try it out. My downloading went fine, but when I clicked on the "XGM - Diadochi" shortcut, a message came up with "Missing Shortcut. Windows is searching for RomeTW-BI.exe. To locate the file yourself, click Browse." What's wrong? I already re-installed the files twice now, so I'm very confused. Any help would be appreciated.

For that matter, I also tried to download Troy Total War as well. How do I acess the content in that?

The shortcut simply isn't pointing to the correct location. If you have RomeTW Gold edition installed, then the shortcut points to an incorrect folder.
You'll have to browse for the exe in the shortcut manually to get it working.

What should I redirect it to? It says that it cannot find RomeTW-BI.exe, so I'm really confused.

the same problem happens with white label rome and white lable BI and alex, if you leave it for a while it should say that you can delete the exe automaticly, redirect the exe automaticly or just change the exe automaticly
P.S. does anyone know where i need to put the BI.exe to be able to get the patch to re-install, i deleted my old BI patch 1.6 cos i had duplicat files

What you have to do is reinstall the mod in the correct folder with RTW and Bi in it. This happened to me too. For some reason, CA changed the directory of the install for RTW from Activision to The Creative Assembly sometime in the past.

All you have to do is reinstall and change the directory of the install to ..../The Creative Assembly/Rome - Total War from ..../Activision/Rome - Total War.

I reinstalled everything and went to change my shortcut to what MEandBOb said the path was not valid and to find a valid path.

You must check what folder your rome total war folder is installed under the program files folder in your main hard drive. Then when you are INSTALLING the mod, change to the correct path. Not after you installed it.

I'm having this same problem, but everything I redirect the short-cut to just opens vanilla RTW instead.

You need to have the command line attributes after the shortcut.
This is what the shortcut target slot should look like if you have installed it to the same location:
    "C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-ALX.exe" -ne -mod:xgmD -enable_editor -show_err -battle_ai_force_outflanking

I got it to work just a short while ago, by putting it in the main RTW folder instead. I currently have it running off BI.exe, alongside standard XGM.
