Who needs Dahae riders when you have Baktrion Hippotoxotai

Yeah. I love Baktrian horse archers' looks and I like to have them in my armies for sentimental reasons.

But Dahae are:

- 3 times cheaper
- Have bigger range (20 points) and bigger damage in their bows
- Are trained (Hippotoxotai aren't) and Very Hardy (Baktrian are only Hardy)
- Have stronger charge (charge and run away to reform and charge again is all you should do with horse archers most of the time anyway)
- Are faster
- Have much bigger AOR
- Baktrian horse archers drop fast when under arrow fire or in melee with even medium cavalries or lightly armoured horse archers)
- Baktrian horse archers have trouble running away from cavalries who have no chance of even getting close to Dahae
- Dahae still look badass with their dark colour theme
- Dahae can chase and decimate any unit of Parthian or Saka unarmoured horse archers with their charge bonus (which usually breaks enemy morale) while Baktrians always get into lengthy chasing and eventually fights that cost you time, stamina and many men
- Dahae can chase routing AS generals much faster. Generally less units slip away when you chase with Dahae.

So from every practical point of view, Baktrion Hippotoxotai are just waste of cash.
