Installing RTR

For some reason, when I try to install Rome:Total Realism it trys to open the file with Rome:Total War and it crashes. When I go back to the file that RTR is installed in, and right click and tryed to open it with other stuff like notepad, Internet Explorer, etc, but it always crashes. What am I suppose to open the saved RTR file with? I just newly saved RTR so there should be no problem with it. I tryed deleting it and installing RTR to a different spot, but when I open the file to install it, it opens up not with the install program, but with RTW and it crashes....

What version of RTR are you trying to play? RTR 6 Gold or RTR PE?

Where did you download the RTR game from?

You need to install RTR into the same folder as the 'exe' is in. Unless it's the mod switch version of RTR PE double clicking the exe should launch RTR.
