I have IBFD 7. I installed to the right directory, and ran the batch file. I started a campaign as Alamanni, and when loading bar was full, i got a ctd. I also have XGM and ROP installed, but in separate modfolders. Are they the problem?

No they are not.But did you wait the dos screen close automatically?

Hmm please install v7.03(more stable) and install the 4tpy and sack of rome scripts only.Or maybe your installer may be corrupted.Try to dowload it from a different mirror.Hope these help.
