Weird Graphical Glitch

Ok....got a problem. I recently downloaded Stainless steel 6.0. Hold on, this pertains to M2TW in general. When playing a battle on the battle map, I have found a glitch in which the screen starts blinking, units start flashing in and out of existence, and weird lines start criss-crossing the screen, the disappearing and reappearing randomly. Makes it pretty hard to enjoy the game, or even to play it. This occurs in all games (Stainless Steel, M2TW, and Kingdoms.)

I mentioned Stainless Steel because it started after I installed it.

Any kind of suggestions or help?

First reaction, graphics settings too high for your card.

Yes, have you tried setting down the graphics? Does this happen when flaming arrows are turned on or something graphic intensive? The lines you speak of sound like artifacts. Maybe your computer is overheating.

Please post your computer specs.

Thing is, I have had M2TW for about a year now, and I have been playing with stats higher than what I had them on when this glitch popped up. (For the past year or so, I have been playing with all of the video settings on high, and a huge unit setting. Never had a problem before. It all started right after SS 6.0. I have already tried lowering settings. I have taken them as low as I can go, even with a small unit size. So I do not know what to do other than a full uninstall and reinstall, which I desperately want to avoid, with several mods installed and all. )

Any other ideas? Overheating might be it. I'll look into cooling hardware, or see if I need a new fan.Thanks for the ideas. If this happens again, will attempt to be quicker with the screenie button and post it.
