Re: event images
Breat link!! Thanx, I saved it. Great idea you have!!!
That Norman longship/knarr would be great for a pirate or European fleet and an event such as a sea raid on a coastal province or for the Crusades as a 'A fleet of reinforcements and pilgrims has arrived from Europe/your homelands'.

Re: event images
There are many all over the inet. I wish I had a scanner for stuff I have.
BTW, did you notice that the guy that wrote the article stated that there wer not any Saxon archers shown on the tapestry, well, he is wrong. There is one Saxon archer shown located on the bottom of the tapestry underneath other Saxon troops and he is shooting at the Normans and not at the Saxons.
I have read info. on this before, and it is a Saxon archer, but only one archer, meaning there were very few Saxon archers at Hastings, although the Saxons threw plenty of rocks and clubs and probaly small axes and some spears and javelins at the Normans and the Norman infantry got bonked on their heads real good by these hand missiles and their first attack on the Saxons was pretty much hurt by these hand missiles. You see, Saxons were somewhat similar to Hobbits throwing rocks at Orcs.
:hmmm: If only some Ents, or just Treebeard himself were in an awakened and aroused state at Hastings fighting for Good King Harold. The Hoar Oak/Apple Tree at Hastings was probably a deep sleeping Ent or Huorn. :hmmm:

Re: event images
Yes sir. Hardball baseballs hurt too, especially when thrown at 90 to 102mph or so, give or take a few mph depneding on the thrower.
Saxons could have used a good supply of hardballs and baseball bats at Hastings.

Links to the recreated Late Bronze to Early Iron Age large fortified town of Biskupin in Poland. The main gate and gate tower and stockade are very formidable and impressive and would be good for all early period folks' Stockades (not the smaller Palisades) in the game. Great pics and info. here.

Great pic of the wall and main gate at Biskupin. it was a very large and solid stockade. Would make a good infopic etc. for a Stockade (not a smaller Palisade) in the mod. Good for all peoples in the mod, not just the Slavs. Note the nice moat. I think it was connected to a river, so there would be fish and frogs in it to catch and Bar-B-Q and then eat. Yummy.
