    Default 2 problems

    first, i have crash when i begin a campaign and second, the all the faction's unit's have messed up.

    What do you mean? Did you install on a clean version of RTW v1.5 or v1.6?

    For the second part, if you mean you don't have factional unit in custom battles, that is because you need to use the "Play Multiplayer" option to play custom battles or multiplayer.

    Try to see if this works...
    Copy your vanilla RTW desktop icon. Then open up the "Properties" of that new shortcut. Then in the "Target" line add this to it: "-mod:eb -nm -show_err" so that it looks like this:

    ...\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -mod:eb -nm -show_err

    If you, when loading via that new shortcut, you still encounter problems then report back...

    but it says "The name 'C:\My' specified in the target box is not valid." on my vista.

    Actually that was just an example, you'll have RTW installed somewhere else most likely. It should end like this:

    ...\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -mod:eb -nm -show_err

    i tried it but the campaign still did not work...

    Have you run the install validation tool?

    If that checks out, have you tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling?
