Will Not Read Second Disk During Installation

I have installed Rome:Total War before, and it has worked fine. But for some reason, everytime I try to install it, when it asks for the second CD to be inserted, I put it in but it won't read the disk and a message comes up saying to insert Disk 2. Does anyone know if it's a probem with the CD or my computer? Thanks.

Is your second disc scratched or dirty? That would be the place to start.

its a little bit but ive been able to install it on other computers just not thi specific one. is there a way to clean the cd?

I just use a clean dry rag like a t-shirt. Nothing rough or you take a chance scratching it more. In my computer, can you explore the files on it?

ummmm... theres nothing there or atleast i cant find it.

Will it read all your other cds okay? If so contact Sega about a replacement.
