I called it a long time ago, I knew McCain would eventually have to reject the endorsement of John Hagee and Rod Parsley, and he's now done so.

the McCain campaign is cleaning house, aside from rejecting the endorsement of Hagee and Parsley their campaign is also in the midst of shooing away all the lobbyists surrounding McCains campaign, including those that lobby for foreign governments of questionable legitimacy.

McCain's derr-proofing his campaign to look modern, more progressive so he can keep voters from swaying to Democrats. He's pulling all the stops.

McCain actively sought the endorsement of both Hagee and Parsley, as a way of shoring up support amongst the evangelical right for his candidacy. Now that they've apparently outlived their usefulness and grown to be a thorn in the side of his campaign, he's tossed them under the bus.

i give him credit for cleaning house, and throwing out some of the more notorious lobbyists and endorsers in his campaign, but to call this a shrewd political move doesnt seem right to me.

him cleaning house is long overdue. He's doing it now, when the media gets to salivate over every firing, every repudiation?

I don't see why people are giving him kudos for this... it was just like getting rid of those lobbyist camapaign advisors in order to be more clean for the general election.

These people helped him in the primaries... if Hagee hadn't endorsed him before Texas he probably wold have lost to Huckabee. I think these people are jerks but I think McCain is a jerk for using them as tools to achieve the GOP nomination before tossing them away.
