I've seen it before - one mod (i can't remember which) has it as an intro. i will also point out that some of the background stuff from the main menu on RTW comes from this video, albeit in silhouette form.

I'm not really sure what the story behind this video is, really. I've heard this is what they planned the game to look like, but I doubt that.

I saw that video too a long time ago. I thought it was a mod of Rome era base on M2TW.

The wierd part is the Romans are marching towards the enemy charge in a testudo formation.

If anyone has ever seen 'Time Commanders' you will know that there's been a number of 'mods' used for custom battles covering a range of battles based on the R:TW game engine.

Time Commanders was endorsed by CA, so that they were allowed to modify things like maximum unit sizes, which are otherwise hard-coded. which meant that you could have real-life scale armies!
