When I click the auto detect the best visual option(in the visual options menu,at the right bottom of the screen)it sets the graphics to high-medium-high and so on,but it lags a little in low graphics too,so in high-medium the game is unplayable.Can somebody tell me why is this?
My computer:
512 MB RAM
1.5 GB processor
128 MB videocard(ASUS 9200)

I would suggest that you need more RAM - at least 1GB.
Also your processor is getting a little old, I would say 3 Ghz (if it's a single core) nowadays is what you should be aiming for.

Try turning off grass and anti-aliasing, that helps.

my PC's specs are pretty much similar, but I have a 1.6GHz processor. Turn off All shadows, Grass, anti-aliasing, gloss mapping/glints and put terrain detail to medium. That should sort your problems. If that dosen't help, reduce the game to 800x600 resolution, and your lag should be totally gone.

Buy a new Videocard, minimum a GF 7600 or similar
