My first multiplayer match.
Well, I played my first multiplayer match a couple days ago, and my was it hilarious. It was a 2vs2 with some guy I didn't know vs 2 guys who seemed to be friends (they hosted).
I picked Spain, got a handful of Jinetes, some knights, some sword & bucklers and two squads of tercio pikemen, with the rest of the cash left I filled up on peasants.
I must say, it was one of the most hilarious experiences I've ever had playing this game. My parter was France and went cavalry heavy, some scots guard archers and some dismounted knights and those halberd guys, forget what they are called.
Our opponents were Egypt and Venice, and Venice was on my side. I took the right flank.
So anyways, I did a bit of skirmishing, and used the peasants as cannon fodder, absorbing the crossbow bolts from the Italians, I eventually charged my peasants on the front lines, much ahead of my swordsmen, the Egyptians on my left took advantage to hit it with cavalry and my peasants started to route. His men gave chase and I rushed my Jinetes over to his captain, killed him. then killed the crossbowmen while the infantry and cavalry were chasing my peasants down.
At this point, their lines were a huge mess from charging after my peasants, I hit them from the flank with my heavy cavalry, pressed with my Jinetes. My teammate then used his knights to do a head on charge on the Egyptian infantry, which was a brutal, brutal massacre, the Egyptians started to flee on my left, and he pulled his cavalry back to deal with the French, so I had a good opportunity to route the Italians. The Jinetes absolutely massacred them from behind and they eventually broke and ran.
My goodness, it was hilarious. I can't believe they took the peasant bait.
I must say, I'm kind of proud of it, since it's my first multiplayer game. I think I saved a replay, but I'm not entirely sure. Does it get saved somewhere?
Anyways, I ended up with only about 200 peasant casualties, a dozen swords and about 30-40 Jinetes. My heavy cavalry only lost a few guys. My teammate took even fewer casualties than I did, mostly his archers died in the skirmishing. Our opponents must have lost about 800 or so Venetians, and roughly 500 or so Egyptians.
It was so damn fun.

I always knew routing peasants could win a battle! I just wasn't sure how...
