Donation for China quake is being occupied illegally by CCP officials

One of my friend, living in Mianyang not far from Wenchuan, told me of it just now..He served as a volunteer since the day of quake, for free...Yeah, as reported, a lot of donation is gathered in the camps where the victims suffering the quake live..But what anger all the volunteers is that the CCP officials are stealing the donation which should be sent to the victims, such as water, rice and tents, these are crucial to the lives of the victims..In another word, CCP is killing the victims saved by the volunteers...i have to say,

while i imagined unlawful bahaviour would occur during such chaos i was not expecting the CCP to be so stupid to allow corruption to be so noticeable. i have however also heard that supplies to needed areas are being picked off mid way by refugees and it has become a problem as the supplies should go to the most needed areas first. perhaps this maybe a contributing factor but corruption within the CCP is well known. While response to rescue efforts were solid, the efforts commited to refugees is abit poor. theres roughly 5 million people homeless and there dosnt seem to be enough supplies, mostly of shelters being brought in. which may have something to do with what you're talking about here. we shall see if it is really corrupution.

"Premier Wen Jiabao ordered the supply of 250,000 temporary housing units - simple steel structures normally used by construction workers - to the quake area by June 30 and the number should reach 1 million in three months"

i am abit disapointed with this decision. i would say its better to go for quantity here until all people are atleast inside a plastic tent, then we'll worry about the other things.

ps. the military have got their hands full securing the dams and being apart of rescue effort, will not ask anymore of them. although i do think when they have available troops, they should have them build shelters for the people.

It's not surprising to see CCP officials corruption especailly in the remote and poor area, such as the quake area...
In Wei river floods 2 years ago, the national gov sent nearly 60 million to the refugees, but only 0.5 million truely got the the hands of them, the rest occupied by the local gov officials...
Now, many guys on the internet are questioning whether the donation will get to the refugees..

hey, see another PLA corruption:
PLA in Luojiang of Sichuan province stole donation and sold it to the market, that was found out by the mass, and it caused a riot.

In my opinion communism since it is authoritarian, will always end up with “party officials” becoming like feudal lords. Since they are supposedly looking after everyone’s best interests, one is not allowed to question them, since no one is allowed to question them, they can do what they want, anyone who can do what he wants becomes extremely corrupt. In a democracy the parties even each other out, so that the other party can not do what ever it wants, since then they would loose the vote.
The Chinese Communist party is a massive feudal body assembly, the differences in china are far greater then in “evil capitalist nations”, and the rulers in china are a lot more well of…

So, the fact that so many buildings collapsed due to that materials were stolen is and evident to this. I do not see if there was corruption that caused the disaster to be on such a large scale, schools collapsing and so forth, then why wouldn’t the same people who give orders, that would be the CCP not be corrupt during the rescue effort as well.

Good post Crazyorc! I wonder how many more riots they are going to see? Starving, cold people don't have a lot to lose if you know what I mean. Do people in all of China know about this?
