    Default Nameless captains

Hello I've recently started fiddling around with my text files to add some armies to the campaign map. I've managed to add a couple of armies using just descr_strat but the armies are led by captains with no names when I would like them to be led by proper generals. Could anyone please be kind enough to tell me just how to go about creating a named character, or at least giving the captains names?

    Hello,

First check your descr_names.txt to choice yout character name. For instance Constantine for byzantium.

Then, go to the descr_strat.txt add this for a faction leader (traits are exemples) :
    Code:

    character Constantine, named character, male, leader, age 40, x 129, y 140
    traits Factionleader 1 , GoodCommander 2 , Intelligent 2 , Austere 1 , PublicFaith 1 , BattleChivalry 1 , StrategyChivalry 3 , ReligionStarter 1
This for a faction heir :
    Code:
character Bartolomeo Selvo, named character, male, heir, age 31, x 153, y 111
    traits Factionheir 1 , LoyaltyStarter 1 , GoodCommander 1 , PoliticsSkill 2 , GoodAdministrator 3 , Energetic 2 , ReligionStarter 1
This for a general (family member) :
    Code:
    character Cristiano Selvo, named character, male, age 29, x 202, y 57
    traits LoyaltyStarter 1 , NaturalMilitarySkill 3 , GoodAttacker 1 , Energetic 1 , ReligionStarter 1
    ancillaries drillmaster
    Update your family tree.

The easiest way is to add first captains :
    Code:
    character Alexander Erskyn, general, male, age 22, x 99, y 180
    army
If you need more info I'm just a few pages away

I don't understand what you mean by "update your family tree."

    Please elaborate?

family tree is at the end of faction section where all relatives are found. If you create a family member in the descr_strat then you have to update family tree to include him in the family which is done at the end of each faction section. This is where the game takes family tree. Taken from england:
    Code:
    character_record Matilda, female, age 49, alive, never_a_leader
    character_record Henry, male, age 12, alive, never_a_leader

relative William, Matilda, Rufus,	Cecilia,	Robert,	Henry,	end
