    Default My computer specs. Is it good enough to play Medieval II?

    I know I made a same thread on technical section, but because I'm in a hurry I decided to post in more active section. I apologize to all the mods. I'll be at EB games tomorrow and I don't get to go there that often so I just wanted to know if my computer could handle this game.

    I really want to buy Medieval II but I'm not quite sure if my computer specs are good enough.

    It's..

    AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 5000+
    NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS
    1022 MB RAM

    Any thoughts?

    Absolutely.

    My Comp. was a pentium 4, 1500mhz, 512 meg memory with a 128 meg Nividia FX 5000, and was able to play Medieval II w/ DLV mod on all low settings. AND IT WAS STILL A KICK ASS GAME.

    But I think it killed my computer. Now stuck w/laptop that cant play MEDII.

    Yes you can play M2TW. My old computer was an Athlon XP 2800 with an ATI 9800 PRO and it could handle M2TW on normal unit size.

    The simple answer is yes. Enjoy.

    Oh, and try to upgrade your ram up to 2 gig some day. Cheap, and it will help.

    I'm running AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 1.84GHz 512mb RAM Nvidia GeForce 7300GT. Unit size is Normal and everything else is at the highest setting. There's some slow down in Huge Cities and Citadels but otherwise everything is good.

    NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS is what I would be worried about.

    Nvidia 6800, 7600, 7800, 8600, 8800 would all do the trick, but 8300 would be a headache to run.

    The above is correct, as a rule of thumb, think of the second digit as an old series, upgraded by some new technology.

    6600=7600=8600
    6800=7800=8800

    I was wondering back then why this 7300 was playing so poorly against my 6600.

    You can play, but in the big battles lower you settings and always use shaders 1.

    Anything less than 600 in Geforce series is bad, regardless if its a 5/6/7/8 series.
