Default Problems with removing/installing the game....

Alright, here's a paragraph of my problem:

When I was trying to install the SPQR mod, I first had to install patches 1.1 to 1.5. After that, I tried to install the mod but was unsuccessful (I just found out it was installed in a different folder). So I thought that if I deleted every trace of Rome: Total War off my computer, then I would be able to reinstall everything (Game, patches, and mod). So, in the process, I believe that I deleted the Uninstall. So when I tried to install it, it would act as it were still on my computer except I am still unable to play it.

Any assistance to this matter would be of good help to me.

This may be linked, then again it may not.I had a problem when trying to patch a re-install of RTW to v1.3,in that it already thought it was patched, the only way of getting rid of the problem was to manually un-install EVERYTHING,that means all of the registry keys as a normal uninstall (with or without the uninstall.exe) wont delete these keys and they can cause re-install probs.
You can find a list of which registry keys to delete somewhere on this forum i think.Long shot but it worked for me.

Once the registry keys are removed, we'll need to remove the game files from your hard drive. These instructions assume you've installed the game in the default directory.
    1) Double-click My Computer.
    2) Double-click the C:\ drive.
    3) Double-click Program Files.
    4) Double-click Total War
    4) Right-click on the Rome: Total War folder and choose delete.
Remove the RomeTW.ini file from your hard drive.
    12) Click the Start button > Find (or Search) > Files & Folders.
    13) Search your C:\ drive for a file named RomeTW
    14) The file should be located in C:\WINDOWS.
    15) Delete this file.
    16) Reboot your machine. At this point the game is completely removed from your system.
