ok, so, i' downloaded diadochi
it gets to the credits screen then it comes up with

"failed to read censored word dictionary file: dat//chat_filter.san"

Make sure you have installed the latest patch before playing with RomeTW-ALX.exe

ok, so, i've narrowed it down to 1 aplication......
chat_filter.san
it says its running on an unkown aplication that it can't read, this is really buging me please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the chat filter should only be used when you're running on the ALX exe.
Try running on RomeTW-BI.exe from the shortcut and see if that helps.

Another thing would be to make sure that the shortcut actually points to the correct location.
The 'xgmD' folder should be in your Rome Total War installation directory (RTW\xgmD\)
Your shortcut should link to RTW\RomeTW-BI.exe"( -mod:xgmD -nm ) with the addition of some essential command line parameters.

You could also try copying chat_filter.san from your Alex folder. Also make sure that RTW is patched to v1.6

ok, did that, now its running off of alexander (as in its overwrited alexander)
that seems to have cleared most things up exept it says it cant fine xgmd_catapult_high
can you suply it for me????

axhily i have and i have got all the patches but it still won't work, i have just found that i have got a hell of a lot of duplicat files and as a result it doesn't know which .exe to rune off of and all the original symptoms are still there

You should just try uninstalling RTW, delete the contents of the RTW folder, reinstall RTW, Install BI (patches RTW to 1.4) and then patch it to 1.6

After you've done that, you can try reinstalling Diadochi with all the patches - make sure you install them in the correct order.

ok, i've done that and it nealy works, nealy, it says that it cant fine data/animations/engines/balista/balista_staionary.cas or some ting and if i trie to re-download the installer it says something about a virus........
