    Default Mexican drug cartels

I realise that the story is from foxnews but what do you think should be done about the drug cartels?
"July 14, 2008: I think this is a case where Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are fundamentally sound. They're not in danger of going under. They're not the best investment these days from a long term standpoint going back. I think they are in good shape going forward. They're in the housing market. I do think their prospects going forward are very solid."

this and South American ones. Those are extremely powerful that their government can't do about them, more or less because they penetrate too deep into every level of the society and government.

i honestly don't know what we can do about them....no idea.

These foxy people have been smokin the la la esse. They is loco homes. We got no cartel in Mekiko, they all is wannabe cholos chicanos.

OT: when you have powerful orgs like the FARC backing and providing safe haven, there's not much weaker governments can do. Then you gotta deal with demand broseph. Why are drug shipments into the US so lucrative?

    RIP hermano Pablo.

I have always felt we should be self sufficient in our narcotics consumption. Why import it so foreigners can make all the money.

Death penalty should be imposed on illegals caught twice.

Unbelievable how they are basically taking over towns and have no fear of killing police. Organized crime in this country has understood that if you kill cops you will bring such immense scrutiny on you that you will suffer far more $$ wise than if you didn't. Apparently some of the cartels in Mexico don't really care. And it is worrying if they start setting up operations in the US and bring that mentality here. I forsee the feds bringing out the big guns relatively quick if that starts. It'll make waco look like a summer camp.

Amazing how years ago Martin van Creveld predicted Mexico would be the biggest threat to American security... and he was proven right.
