Europe bids farewell to the democracy..Letter from a prisoner in Austria

Europe used to pride itself because of its humanity and its caring of human rights.

After the World War 2, the humanity realized that the international relationships based on respect of the human right is the solution to cohabit securely on the Ground.

But recently, the human rights witnessed a big relapse in the name of counter-terrorism which is transformed later into war on Islam when Bush declared that it is a crusader war..This fact was confirmed by many declarations, for the Journalist David Silborn released an article titled: "This war is not against terrorism, it is against Islam".

Then, the national review magazine released an article titled: "It is the war, let us invade them in their land", this is an excerpt from the same article: "We must invade them in their countries and kill their leaders to oblige them to embrace Christianity".

The weekly article of the New York Times dated 7-1-2001 mentioned this: "It is a religious war".

This relapse of human rights makes man asking himself: Does Europe yearn for a dark past full of massacres and blood, as confirmed by European themselves:

The Germany's ambassador in Turkey "Wan Gunhaim" in July 1915 wrote: "the government wants really to achieve its aim which is the genocide of Armenians in The Ottoman Empire" (Archives of Wilhalm Chtraos).

In the middle ages, the Catholics killed the third of the white Aryan race because of the Protestant revolution against Rome, so they killed hundreds of thousands from the Orthodox followers of the eastern church. Then they killed hundreds of thousands from the Muslims in the crusader wars, and killed the Arabs and Jews in the Spanish inspection courts.

Whatever be the discords with the Muslims, it is not a reason for Europe to lose the most important pivot of the modern civilization which is "The Human Rights", if so, Europe will be a worthless nation without values.

Here this is an existent cause turning back the memory of persons oppressed because they are Muslims, like Hmaidan al-Turky, Sami al-Haj, Muhamad Ashraf al-Emiraty, Jamil Abed al-Latif al-Banna…and many others.

    The story today is about:

The Muslim prisoner Muhamad Mahmoud (22 years old) and his wife Muna (20 years old).

Muhamad said that 40 'Cobra soldiers' of the Special Forces broke into his house in a brutal way on 12/09/2007, another group did the same thing with his wife without showing them the arrest order from the police.

He said in a leaked long letter, that he was tortured physically and psychically, and on the first day after being arrested, they put him in a prisoner cell, then seven soldiers entered among them four policewomen and totally undressed him and started laughing at him saying: "we know what humiliates you most, O you damned Muslims".

Universal Declaration of Human Rights, article 9:

No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.
Muhamad mentioned that the torture included the prevention from sleeping and the standing in arduous and humiliating positions, plus the mockery at the religious rites, beating and obscene expressions..

Muhamad affirmed that his wife aborted because of the torture..

Universal Declaration of Human Rights, article 25, 2nd paragraph:

    (2) Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection.
Muhamad mentioned that the jail woman officer obliged his wife Muna to stay outside in the prison's open space for more than two hours and the temperature was (-10) degree..

He added: "Once, the investigators told me that they imprisoned my wife in order to pressure me to confess with what they want. They said that they knew that for a Muslim, his Irdh (honor) is the most important!!".

Universal Declaration of Human Rights, article 5:

No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
After six months since the date of arrest, the trial started and the accusation was: planning for suicide attacks against the European Nations competition, the United Nations and the OPEC buildings.

Muhamad confirmed that he is innocent from all these accusations and his lawyer asked a simple question to which the prosecution couldn't answer: "How can a single man do all these things? Can a single man make several suicide operations especially these targets are in different parts of Vienna? Where are the tools and means to carry on these terrorist operations?".

Muhamad added: "All what the Austrian police has captured was my wife's and my computers. The police didn't find any single arm or bombs to prove their accusations!!
Moreover, all witnesses- and amongst them the principal one- witnessed in our favor. The principal witness uncovered in front of the court that he was obliged by the Austrian intelligence to assert things against us during the investigations!!".

    What does Muhamad Mahmoud want?

Muhamad Mahmoud says that the trial was unjust and tendentious against him because of being Muslim, he added: "we sent a letter to the Justice Minister Mariah Berger clarifying what we experience of injustice and tyranny and asking for investigation in our complaint. She, then, answered us on 14/01/2008 and her answer was very disappointing. She considered us as liars in our complaint-without any investigation-".

He said: "We urge any neutral authority to investigate about our complaint, about the way we were arrested, and how the prosecutor infiltrated our issue to the media in order to distort our reputation and condemn us before the trial. We demand, also, an investigation about the bad conditions we are living in this prison which is similar to that of many bad reputed jails like Guantanamo, Belmarsh and many others. At last, we seek the presence of some observers from human organizations especially from Amnesty and Human Rights Watch in the Prosecution Appeal so to avoid the mockery happened in the first trial!!".

At the end of his letter, Muhamad says addressing the freemen in the world:

We want to be heard, is there any responsive ?!

On this link you can read the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR):

    Note:

The excerpt from this UDHR does not mean the approval of its articles (which are applied at all people except Muslims).
The Austrian and all European governments approve on this declaration because they are members in the United Nations.

    Appendix:
a letter from the prisoner Muhamad Mahmoud to humanity:

Suffering of a captive in the West of freedom and democracy!!

This is a letter from Mohamed Mahmoud, the captive in Austria prisons, in which he shows his sufferance, hopes and waits for your help and support.

Allah said: [They had no fault except that they believed in Allâh, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise!] (85:8).

I'm Mohamed Mahmoud, the man imprisoned unjustly in Austria.

My wife (Mona Salem) and I were caught only ten days after our wedding on the alleged accusation of terrorism!! We were caught on 12/09/2007 in a brutal way. Without any previous alert, 40 'Cobra soldiers' of the Special Forces broke into the house after detonating the door and throwing smoke bombs within. They broke the rooms' doors and the house's furniture. I was heavily beaten after being chained and I was hit by the soldiers who cursed me and Islam. They detained my sick mother who was surrounded by soldiers in a room and they directed their arms towards her face. They did the same thing with my younger brother who was detained in another room.

As for my wife, who was at her family's home, they did the same thing with her whereas the soldiers broke into the house and broke its furniture. They, then, stormed her bedroom while she was sleeping. They obliged her to stand up directing their arms towards her without permitting her to put on her veil and cover herself…They then took both of us to the jail!!

All this happened to us without being informed why we were arrested in this cruel and criminal way. They didn't even show us the arrest order from the police. In the jail, they put me in an isolated cell as well as my wife, after that they started the stage of investigation which was accompanied with torture series using different means.

On the first day after being arrested, they put me in a prisoner cell, seven soldiers entered among them four policewomen. They beat me after enchaining me, then they totally undressed me and started laughing at me saying:" we know what humiliates you most, O you damned Muslims".

They prevented us from sleeping in the first ten days, we used to do so rarely. At night, every hour, the soldiers were passing to oblige us to stand up in order to prevent us from sleeping. In the following morning they call us for the inquiry one by one, after we get terribly tired.

Then, the investigation started by a group of intelligence agents with their cruel and solid characters .They rushed us with questions from tens of present folders before them to which we had to answer in detail, and if we denied anything they attributed to us, they would beat and insult us!!

One night, a guard came into my cell and I was praying. He ordered me to stop praying and I didn't turn to him. He took me down from my hair and then beat me strongly with his bar. He, then, threw me on the wall till I bled.

As for my wife, they used to get in her cell and then order her to take off her Hijab(veil). She refused and they, thus, threaten her and make fun of her and Islam. They used to beat her and throw her on the ground. Because of this she was aborted and that was in November…they didn't have mercy on her even she was pregnant. Once she was sick with fever, the jail woman officer took the opportunity and obliged her to stay outside in the prison's open space for more than two hours and the temperature was (-10) degree..

Once, the investigators told me that they imprisoned my wife in order to pressure me to confess with what they want. They said that they knew that for a Muslim, his Irdh (honor) is the most important!!

The soldiers used to insult Allah and His prophet in front of us in order to provoke us!! When they brought us to meet our lawyer or our family, they inspected us in a very humiliating way..We were obliged to stand undressed in front of them, and when my wife refused this humiliation, the manager of the prison threatened her that she would bring men soldiers to inspect her by force if she refused!! As for me, they put me alone in another cell with a person accused of raping children in order to spite me and to demoralize me!!

They prevented us, my wife and I, from celebrating the Islamic feasts as well as the Joumou`a (Friday) prayer which is the right allowed for all prisoners even in the prison we are put in. We were treated with unprecedented discrimination and hatred. We wrote letters to many legal institutions explaining our suffering and asking for our rights which are ensured by the law…yet, those letters did not do any good. I, then, wrote a letter to the Justice Minister Mariah Berger clarifying what we experience of injustice and tyranny and asking for investigation in our complaint. She, then, answered us on 14/01/2008 and her answer was very disappointing. She considered us as liars in our complaint-without any investigation- and such answer was a green light for the soldiers and investigators to continue their humiliation against us!!

The misbehavior of the guards was extended to my and my wife's parents. When they once visited us, and after keeping them waiting for a long time and inspecting them in a humiliating way, they used to beat me and hit me in front of my father till he got a severe heart attack when he saw such a terrible scene!!

After six months of hard suffering and artful physical and moral torture, the trial started. It was full of mockery which is considered as a stigma for the Austrian courts. From the first day on, the judge forced out my wife of the court and prevented her from defending herself because of wearing Niqab(face cover). At the last court seance the judge cursed the Niqab and demeaned it. He didn't suffice with these insults and went further reciting Quran verses and prophet's sayings without going back to their explanations. He, then, asked me if I believe in them and after saying yes, he considered this as proves of conviction against me!!

The general prosecutor was purposely connecting Jihad to terrorism and was explaining martyrdom in the cause of Allah as a killing of innocent people and as detonating markets and trains!!

This was the trial against Islam consisted in us (My wife and I)!!

As for justice in this trial, it was totally absent from the court. The judge ignored all proves which the defence presented proving our innocence from all convictions attributed to us. The litigation accused us of belonging to a terrorist group!!

Where is this terrorist group, no one was judged except me and my wife?!!

The prosecution accused me of planning for suicide attacks against the European Nations competition, the United Nations and the OPEC buildings, not to speak about plans to assassinate Austrian and European politicians and personalities!! There were other lying accusations. The prosecution didn't answer the question of my lawyer which was: How can a single man do all these things? Can a single man make several suicide operations especially these targets are in different parts of Vienna? Where are the tools and means to carry on these terrorist operations? All what the Austrian police has captured was my wife's and my computers. The police didn't find any single arm or bombs to prove their accusations!!

Moreover, all witnesses- and amongst them the principal one- witnessed in our favor. The principal witness uncovered in front of the court that he was obliged by the Austrian intelligence to assert things against us during the investigations!!

As for my wife, she was accused of translating some Iraqi resistance reports from English into German, this was true, but it didn't include any call for terrorism or killing civilians! It was only about resistance inside Iraq against occupation, although the advocacy revealed that resistance is a legal right assured by all religions and laws and gave example with the Austrian resistance against the Nazi occupation during the world war II which is till now described as a noble national resistance.

But the judge put all that out of consideration. He showed the jury a video of slaughtering an American hostage in order to influence on their opinions. There was no relation between our case and that video. We were not the ones who slaughtered that American nor the ones who showed it, It was the judge who did so inside the court!!

The guards insisted on their carelessness about the laws of human rights in front of the court. On the last day of the trial they beat me severely in front of the judge, the prosecutor and all the court members. Moreover the media was present and telecasted some of snapshots of that injustice on TV and the Austrian newspapers!! As a usual result there was no inquisition as if nothing happened!!

After that the judge asserted his unjust sentence. I was sentenced to four years and my wife 22 months. It was the end of the mockery but our sufferance still continuing in Vienna's Guantanamo, Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us).

We urge any neutral authority to investigate about our complaint, about the way we were arrested, and how the prosecutor infiltrated our issue to the media in order to distort our reputation and condemn us before the trial. We demand, also, an investigation about the bad conditions we are living in this prison which is similar to that of many bad reputed jails like Guantanamo, Belmarsh and many others. At last, we seek the presence of some observers from human organizations especially from Amnesty and Human Rights Watch in the Prosecution Appeal so to avoid the mockery happened in the first trial!!

We hope to be heard, is there any responsive ?!

Fortunately, "Europe" doesn't equal "Austria" (anymore or yet again).

Although I do think it's way too early to say we have left our racist past behind us, history does have a tendency to repeat itself.

I didn't even pay attention to who posted it.

But come to think of it: he probably is just a spammer who makes those posts on random forums just to draw attention.

Ok, I'm also in favor of banning now.

I was in Vienna on Friday. Does that make me a Nazi Muslim/Jew-hater who keeps children in the basement?

OP is most definitely a spambot. He was last active when he posted that. Hasn't been on since. Most likely registered the same minute he posted that. Either he has incredible typing skills, or is a spam bot.

Since when islamists are so keen on democracy? There's no democracy in any muslim country, but it's nice try to use our system against us but since Madrid bombing, 7/7 and Danish cartoons I doubt anybody sane woud buy it.
